One of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind since the release of Irrational Games’ FPS BioShock Infinite has been about the DLC that will be released for the game. According to Joystiq , Irrational Games has stated that information regarding the DLC will be announced in July. So far, however, the company hasn’t revealed whether the DLC will be a major one that is part of the Season Pass or a smaller DLC.

The Season Pass for the game gives guaranteed access to three DLC packs for it, and BioShock Infinite has so far received one DLC pack which was not part of the Season Pass—the Columbia’s Finest DLC. The DLC pack gives access to some bonus in-game items like some extra money to start out with, some lock picks and some gear. It costs $4.99 (Rs 300 approx) and is available as a separate download for the game.

Back in April, there were hints that the first major DLC for the game might feature a new AI companion . A 2K Games’ Senior Artist’s LinkedIn profile stated that he has been ‘providing animation and R&D for a new AI companion character’. The mention of this new AI companion has since been removed.

Going by the ending of BioShock Infinite, it is clear that the DLC will feature some new character entirely, so a new AI companion wouldn’t be completely out of the question. However, the question we’d like to ask is who will it be?

Irrational could just take the easy way out and have us play another version of the protagonist Booker DeWitt. The interaction between player character Booker and companion Elizabeth was one of the many things that earned Infinite rave reviews. Thanks to DeWitt’s cynicism and Elizabeth’s optimism, the game had great dialogue. Elizabeth would by no means be an easy character to follow up, but we’ll just have to wait and see what Irrational does with the game’s DLC.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
