Even though BioShock 2 wasn’t as brilliant as its predecessor, it was a pretty awesome game nevertheless that we thoroughly enjoyed . If like us you can’t wait to head back to Rapture, you’ll be glad to know that some single player DLC (downloadable content) is coming your way real soon.

2K Games announced today Protector Trials, an all-new single-player focused downloadable game add-on for BioShock 2 that puts players back into the boots of the Big Daddy as he defends his Little Sister against swarms of corrupt Splicers who are hell-bent on stealing the precious ADAM that she gathers from corpses.

  • New unlockables, including never-before-seen concept art and videos;
  • Seven new Achievements/Trophies.

Protector Trials will be available starting August 3, 2010 for the Xbox360 (via Xbox Live) and PC (via Games for Windows-LIVE) for 400 Microsoft Points.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
