Some Apple fans are just die-hard. Sample this, the auction for a cup of coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook which was expected to fetch of $50,000 broke the estimated record with the winning bidder paying$610,000, according to a report on_ AppleInsider_.

The unknown bidder will get to meet Cook at the Apple headquarters.
So high were the sums involved, the website hosting the auction, Charitybuzz, required independent bank checks for prospective bidders, reports_Huffington Post_.
The money raised will be donated to the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights.
Tim Cook announced the auction last month.
