Role:
As the name suggests, the Support Class provides invaluable support for his team. The basic gun either side yields are Light Machine Guns, with can boast of a large amount of ammunition and an excellent re-fire rate; this makes these guns ideal for providing cover-fire for charging teammates. Using the Ammunition Hub, you can provide your team with an unlimited supply of ammunition so that they can spam their grenades or anti-personal mines all over the place, and give your enemy team a tough time. Just like the assault class is meant to provide support via medical hubs, your job is to ensure that your team is always supplied to the fullest. So whenever you see a friendly squad that’s attacking your enemies, drop an Ammunition hub right at their feet. This ensures that you do your bit for your team, as well as stack up some re-supply points.

Most Important Basic Unlock:
V5 EMP Grenade
The V5 EMP Grenade is ideal for disrupting enemy vehicles. If your base gets attacked by a Battlewalker or a Tank, throw a grenade at them to stop them from moving for the next 4-6 seconds. If you throw a second grenade during this time, the enemy vehicle won’t be able to fire its weapon either. During this time, any Recon soldiers can plant RDX DemoPaks on the back of the vehicle and reduce it to a useless scrap of metal in no time. Of course, it’s easier said than done, and you’ll need a lot of practice for this kind of thing. Just make sure that while defending a point you always have a recon soldier or an Engineer with you to help you blow up tanks and walkers. These grenades can also be used to reveal cloaked infantry.

Most Important Advanced Unlock:
A12 Enforcer Sentry Gun –
The Sentry gun is a cheap and effective way to secure important corridors and get a few free frags. Just deploy the gun on the far side of a corridor that’s frequented by the enemy, and watch your frags stack up. The sentry gun has a field of vision similar to a player, so remember to point it in the direction you expect your enemies to attack from. They’ve got only about 240 hitpoints, so ensure that you always place them deep inside corridors or anywhere away from the open, so that your foes cannot take pot shots at it and blow it up before it gets you at least a few kills. Placing it in the titan’s corridors works extremely well, as there’s not too much place to maneuver in those place and infantry fall prey to it pretty easily. Also, if it takes a little damage, ask your squad’s engineer to help repair it, which will give him a point as well.

Strategy:
While playing the Support Class, make sure that you’re rarely on the frontlines. The best place to be is just behind the action, so that you can resupply your teammates as and when required. If you’re using your Light Machine gun, be sure to go prone while firing as it provides better stability for your gun. Unlike other guns, the longer your hold the trigger down the more accurate your gun gets. Use this to your advantage and keep spamming bullets along narrow corridors that your enemies traverse often.
Staying just behind the frontlines has other advantages as well – by doing this you can even lob your EMP Grenades at enemy vehicles that threaten your team, buying them enough time to either blow the vehicle up or vacate the premises. If you have the IPS Shield unlocked, be sure to place it in a way that it protects your team’s frontline. These come in very handy in the Titan mode too, where they can help you guard your Titan’s consoles. Just like the sentry guns, be sure to place them deep inside the corridors so that your enemy won’t be able to get to it very easily. The combination of the sentry gun and the IPS shield makes the Support class a titan defense specialist, so ensure that you’re always around when your titan’s being attacked. Follow these basic tips and you’re sure to get a good score, and help your team achieve victory.
