BenQ has announced four new LCD monitors aimed at gamers. The new lineup includes an entry level 19 inch monitor at $299, a mainstream 22-inch monitor at $549, and two 24 inch monitors priced at $1299 and $1499 respectively.

In terms of resolutions the monitors range from1440x900 for the 19-inch model to 1680x1050 for the 22-inch model and 1920x1200 for the 24-inch models. An interesting point to note is the fact that the two 24-inch models sport HDMI, which will allow these monitors to act as displays for gaming consoles such as PS3 and upcoming hi-definition movie players based on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
All the new monitors support HDCP encryption making them Windows Vista ready. The 24-inch models apart from the HDMI also sport S-Video, composite and component inputs making them capable of accepting virtually any kind of video device that is currently sold.
