There’s a new social integration rolling out with the BBM for Android update, thanks to which you will be able to find and add friends from other social networking websites who also use BBM. The update also has bug fixes along with it but the most important one of them all involves fixing an issue where some users had been experiencing higher battery use on their Android phones.

The update for BBM for iOS is the biggest by far. Support has been added for iPod and iPad devices running on both iOS 6 and iOS 7. This update too includes the ability to share your BBM Pin barcodes better as well as find friends on other social networking websites. The company has fixed an issue because of which users were being unable to see some BBM contact names. There is also an improvement in the right-to-left language support for BBM.

If you don’t have the app on your devices already, you can download BBM for Android from the Google Play Store and BBM for iOS from the App Store.
