US gaming magazine Game Informer (once again) has an exclusive reveal for their March issue in the form of Battlefield 3. Game Informer’s website hasn’t divulged too many details yet but it seems the game will make use of “powerful upgrades like deferred rendering, real-time radiosity and a new animation system borrowed from the EA Sports label.” In addition to this, expect environmental destruction like never before thanks to their proprietary Frostbite 2 engine which DICE feels “is the best piece of technology on the market when it comes to building games.”

While DICE prep the game for a full reveal at GDC 2011, an official teaser is expected tomorrow at the official Battlefield 3 website. Rumour suggests the game could very well release this year, with a beta kicking off in the next few months. Remember, if you picked up the special edition of Medal of Honor, you’re automatically eligible to take part in the Beta.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
