Warner Bro. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have just announced Batman: Arkham Knight, in what could only be described as the most epic teaser trailer we’ve yet seen in the Batman Arkham franchise. This is Rocksteady Studios’ third installment in the Batman franchise and will be heading to the PS4, Xbox One and PC this October.     According to the release, Batman now faces his ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow makes a comeback to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience.   “Batman: Arkham Knight is the pinnacle game of our hugely successful franchise, and we are giving players the most expansive, impressive title in the series,” said Martin Tremblay, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.  “The Rocksteady Studios team is continuing to focus on the excellent gameplay for which they are known while delivering a thrilling new experience for gamers and Batman fans.”   Batman: Arkham Knight takes place a year after Batman: Arkham City. The first teaser trailer doesn’t really give us any hint of actual gameplay footage, as it seems to be one big pre-rendered cut scene. The game is also being developed on the Unreal engine, as were the other games in the franchise. This means the newer consoles will have no problem running the game at healthy framerates and it doesn’t seem like you’ll be needing a PC upgrade in order to max it out either.
