Microsoft has been going into damage control mode because of the criticisms faced by the Xbox One. In an interview with RedditGames’ Chloe Dykstra, Microsoft’s Major Nelson revealed some more information about the Xbox One.

All of the questions asked by Dykstra were from a Reddit thread, with the most interesting one asking whether gamers who have been banned from Xbox Live will also be denied access to their collection of games tied to that account, to which Major Nelson replied, “Absolutely not. You will always have access to the games that you purchased. Absolutely not.”

He was also asked if Xbox One games will be playable after the next console generation is over and Microsoft shuts down the Xbox One’s servers. He replied stating that it is something that Microsoft will not do.

Last week, Microsoft Game Studios’ Vice President Phil Spencer had stated in an interview that the console’s always-online requirement is okay because of the popularity of multiplayer gaming. He responded in a question about whether Microsoft was concerened that the online authentication requirements of the Xbox One would restrict its audience. He responded by saying that it isn’t a concern, because online gaming is very prominent, with most gamers playing online with their friends instead of single player.

“What we’re seeing in games … is online community gaming is becoming a predominant way that people play,” he said.

The Xbox One is slated to hit stores in 21 markets in November. India isn’t one of the 21 markets and will see the console in late 2014.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
