Bad Duke Nukem Reviews Get PR Agency Fired

Duke Nukem sucks. I’m sorry but there’s no sugar coating that fact. And this is an opinion I share very strongly with most of the game reviewers who’ve had a go at Duke’s latest adventure. This obviously didn’t go down too well with The Redner Group, 2K’s PR agency in America who in a fit of rage and anger posted this on their twitter,

“Too many went too far with their reviews…we r reviewing who gets games next time and who doesn’t based on today’s venom."

This stupidity obviously didn’t go down well with publisher 2K Games who immediately fired them from the account issuing this statement in the process:

“2K Games does not endorse the comments made by Jim Redner and we can confirm that The Redner Group no longer represents our products. We have always maintained a mutually-respectful working relationship with the press and do not condone his actions in any way.”

I mean seriously, how stupid do you have to be to threaten every media outlet in America publically? Thanks to Arstechnica for the heads up.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
