Asus Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe photos leaked on Red Dot Design website

Tantalising new details of the yet to be released Asus Zenphone 3 series and Asus Zenphone 3 Deluxe series were posted on a product design web site, Red Dot 21. The profiles, in all probability uploaded by Asus itself, showcases the product innovations for the new series of phones. The description for the Zenphone 3 Deluxe has a one point agenda of showcasing the all metal back casing. Apparently Asus has worked around the necessary introduction of flaws in the metal back, in the form of decoration or plastic strips, to allow for the antenna on the back of the phone to function. The new design from Asus claims to be the first in the world to have a uncompromising full metal back casing. The profile posted for the Zenphone 3 series is less sparse on details. As previously reported , the USB port used will be a type C for improved charging and data transfer speeds. The phones have a curved aluminium frame and glass on both the front and back. “We (Asus) intend to bring the meticulous glass artistry used in watches to smartphone”, the profile claims. Three colors are shown, Black, Gold and White. A Smart Flip Cover is also mentioned, that has illuminated edges that interfaces with the UI of the phone. There are some great features for shutterbugs, laser focus for taking quick photographs or shooting from the hip. Selfie addicts will like the front facing flash for low light selfies. The phone seems to be designed to support a wide range of accessories.
