After Lenovo , Asus is all set to bring its new devices, which were unveiled at the CES 2015, to India. At its latest EeeBook X205 event, the company confirmed it’s intentions to launch Zenfone 2 and Zenfone Zoom in India during the second and third quarters respectively. Asus Zenfone Zoom is said to be a new lineup focusing on cameras. The smartphone will feature a 13-megaPixel sensor, which isn’t something exceptional, but the highlight is its 3x optical zoom. Apart from the camera, the rest of the specs sheet seems to be at par with what we see these days. Zenfone Zoom will sport a 5.5-inch full HD display and come fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, it supports 2G/3G/LTE 4G along with 802.11 ac, Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 4.0. It will also come with ZenUI built on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Asus Zenfone 2 also sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and thanks to the thin bezels, the Zenfone 2 has a 72 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom processor codenamed Z3580 which is clocked at 2.3GHz. The Zenfone 2 comes with a whopping 4GB of RAM. It comes in 16GB / 32GB and 64GB variants and has an option to expand the memory via a microSD card slot. Apart from this, you get 5GB of free Asus WebStorage. Asus India country head Peter Chang said the ZenWatch that was scheduled to launch in India in Q1, will hit the market after the launch of the Zenfone 2 and Zenfone Zoom, according to a GSMArena report.
