To give you a console-like experience you can use the new Kunai hand-held controller. It can be attached with TwinView Dock 2.

ROG Phone 2 TwinView 2

The TwinView 2 has a 120 Hz refresh rate support along with a 5,000 mAh external battery to bring the total combined battery to 11,000 mAh. It also has a Turbo Fan cooler.

ROG Phone 2 software

The phone will run on Android 9.0 Pie and will have a stock Android UI like the Asus 6Z. The user can also opt for the ROG UI which is optimised for gaming.

Networking on the ROG Phone 2

The phone has 4 Wi-Fi antennas located strategically so that even if your hands cover some of the antennas you will still get high network speeds. Asus says that the ROG Phone 2 has 4.5 times better Wi-Fi capabilities than the Galaxy S10,

Air Triggers 2 on the ROG Phone 2

The phone comes with two air triggers and they can be customised in the gaming menu of the device. These air triggers are said to be improved as compared to last year. A sliding touch functionality is also going to be added soon.

The ROG Phone 2 has a 48 MP Sony IMX 586 sensor which uses a quad-bayer technology and f/1.79 aperture. The secondary camera is a wide-angle lens with a 125 degree field of view and the front of the phone has a 24 MP camera.

The ROG Phone 2 has a monster 6,000 mAh battery with 30 W fast charging support. There is also the capability of reverse charging by 10 W. Also with Hypercharge the phone is said to not heat up when charging.

Asus says that the phone will come with display which is deviated by less than 1 percent from the true colours.

120 Hz supported games in the market

There are about 125 games which support this high frame rate. PUBG Mobile beta in China was recently seen to bring this 120 Hz refresh rate support.

The phone has a 1 ms response time on the display and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is 6.50-inch AMOLED panel with a 49 ms touch latency and is covered using a Corning Gorilla Glass 6.0 There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor.

ROG Phone 2 comes with Gamecool II

This new cooling technology from Asus comes with a 3D Vapor Cooling chamber. Above that there is a heat dissapation plate and also a heat transfer vent as well. Apart from that the phone also comes with an external fan called the Aeroactive cooler which can be attached via the phone’s proprietary port.

Asus’ ROG Phone 2 beats other flagships on AnTuTu and 3D Mark benchmarking platforms. The phone comes with the Snapdragon 855 Plus which is the first for the Indian market.

Starting at a price of €1,119 (Rs 87,458) it maxes out with a storage capacity of 1 TB which is double the amount from the base version of the gaming smartphone.
