Asus is said to be working on the successor to its Padfone Infinity. Dubbed the Infinity A86, it is likely to follow its predecessor in many ways. However, there will be a handful of features that will act as differentiators. If the picture by ePrice is to be believed, then we may also see a white model of the device. This means we can expect an all-white model along with the Black colour device.

Another key differentiator is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, which will replace the Snapdragon 600 seen in the previous Padfone Infinity. One may not see any changes on the design front as it is likely to be similar to the previous Padfone Infinity. It came with a 5-inch Super IPS+ LCD full HD display, with 441 pixels per inch. This also means that it could work with the tablet dock of the current model.

The A86 may come with a slightly toned down price compared to the previous model. It is expected to be launched in September, but there is no word on the exact launch date. Now the question is – Will we see Asus launch the new Padfone Infinity at the IFA this year?
