Asus launches the ZenPad 7.0, ZenPad 8.0 and ZenPad C 7.0 starting from Rs 8,999

Asus had announced the plans to launch the ZenPads in India within a few months of its inaugural Zen Festival which saw the launch of the ZenFone Selfie , ZenFone 2 Deluxe and ZenFone 2 Laser among other devices. Asus today announced the launch of the ZenPad series in India, which will be available in three variants - ZenPad 8.0, ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad C 7.0 - which will start selling from end of October. The Asus ZenPad 8.0 comes with an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display which comes with an Oleophobic coating. It measures 8.5mm thick and weight 350 grams. The ZenPad 8.0 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It will sport an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-camera. The ZenPad 8.0 will be priced at Rs 14,999 without the audio cover and Rs 17,999 with an audio cover.

The Asus ZenPad 7.0 sports a 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with the oleophobic coating. Unlike the ZenPad 8.0, the ZenPad 7.0 will be powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x3 chipset, which was announced at this year’s Computex. The tablet comes with 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Just like its higher end sibling, the ZenPad 7.0 also comes with an 8MP rear and 2MP front camera. It will be priced at Rs 14,999 with the audio cover and Rs 11,999 without the audio cover. Finally, the third tablet in the series is the ZenPad C 7.0 which has similar specs as the ZenPad 7.0, except for a 1024 x 600 pixel display resolution, 5MP read and VGA front camera. It will be selling for Rs 8,999. All the ZenPad tablets will be running the ZenUI atop the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. They will come equipped with the ZenMotion gesture support.  Users will also get 5GB Asus Web Storage space for life with an additional 11GB for the first year and 100GB of Google Drive space for two years. Earlier this month, Asus announced its 'Make in India' plans and will be making the ZenFone range of smartphones out of India.
