Asus lanches Zenbook flagship series in India

Asus has taken the covers off its new Zenbook series with three models namely, UX303UB, UX305UA and UX305CA. The Zenbook UX303UB features the latest sixth-generation Intel Core i5 processor with Skylake architecture and runs Windows 10. The device claims to be thin, light and ultra-portable. It sports a 0.7-inch thin chassis with a spun-metal finish. Then there’s the Asus Smart Gesture technology to connect smartphones to the notebook that can be used as a second touchpad, a presenter or even as a media remote. It includes Nvidia GeForce GT940m 2GB graphics to enable smooth rendering of high-resolution videos or the latest games, further claims the company. The specs sheet further reveals a Full HD display with 170 degree viewing angle. On the audio front, Asus brings in its proprietary SonicMaster audio that incorporates ICEpower Bang & Olufsen technology. It gets a backlit keyboard with Asus’ ambient-light sensor technology wherein keyboard backlight adjusts automatically to suit the ambient lighting in the room. The UX303UB will be made available in multiple colour options such as Smoky Brown and Icicle Gold. The UX305UA will come dipped in gold and black options, powered by Intel Core i7-6500U clocked at 2.5Ghz and coupled with 8GB RAM. The UX305CA variant is powered by Intel Core m3-6Y30 clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with 4GB RAM. It is available in black, gold and white colour options. The ZenBook UX303UB is available at a starting price of Rs 71,490 for a Core i5 variant. The ZenBook UX305CA comes at a starting price of Rs 55,490 for a Core M variant with 8GB RAM. The ZenBook UX305UA will be available at a starting price of Rs 74,190 for a Core i5 variant (users also get the option of i7 processor). These products will be available through all the channel partners and online retailers starting March 4.
