Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and this time, the company has shown off all of the technologies that went into making the next-gen version of the game. The trailer talks about various new technologies, such as the multi-layered sea engine to simulate the sea and the lighting technology that went into making the dynamic weather system. This could, for example, allow individually-illuminated rain drops.
Earlier, Ubisoft has released various videos for the game, with the most recent one being the Gamescom demo, narrated by Ashraf Ismail. In the video, protagonist Edward Kenway dives underwater and infiltrates a cavern through an underwater cave. Because he dived underwater, Edward doesn’t have access to any of his usual tools other than some throwing knives.
The video shows one of the major cities of the game—Havana. The city is a Spanish-styled city, and Ubisoft’s Ashraf Ismail explains that it was built as a homage to Assassin’s Creed 2, which prominently features Florence, among other Italian cities. The video shows that Havana is jam-packed with various activities.

I like to call this move “The Anakin”
To show the assassination, Ismail takes us through a dense jungle where navigation is much like it was back in Assassin’s Creed 3. It also shows us a new weapon—the blow pipe. Edward can shoot berserk darts that turn targets insane.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is all set for a November launch and will be hitting PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will also be making its way to the PC at some point. We hope that the PC version will get the same graphical enhancements as the next-gen console versions.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
