Are these the Lightning EarPods for Apple iPhone 7?

The excitement for Apple’s new iPhone 7 is building up and it’s not all positive since a number of sources have reported that the company is planning to remove the 3.5mm audio jack from the upcoming iPhone. While this will probably pave the way for high-quality lossless audio, it will be a huge disappointment for consumers to completely shift to lightning port based earphones. While there have been some rumours saying that Apple might not remove the legacy port, a recent leak yet again points out that lightning earphones are en route. According to the pictures posted on Chinese blogging site Weibo, Apple will bundle new EarPods with the upcoming iPhone which have a similar flat design and a remote just like the ones that are currently available with the iPhone 6s. However, the connector will be Lightning based. The earphones in pictures could be the real deal, but it is difficult to determine whether they are a genuine Apple product. They could be some third-party earphones trying to mimic the EarPods or just a photoshopped image. Apple is expected to announce the new iPhone 7 and possibly and iPhone 7 Pro in September. Thanks to the variety of rumours and leaks, we can tell you that we could see a new ‘Deep Blue’ colour option in place of the Space Gray, a larger camera module and even a force-touch based home button. The iPhone 7 Pro would be a more beefier handset loaded with a dual-camera setup and Apple’s Smart Connector port which was featured on the iPad Pro series.
