You can stream, buy or even rent movies using online services and some cool smartphone apps on your Android and iOS devices. We have listed some options that movie freaks will surely find handy.
Bollywood flicks were recently added to Spuul for iOS
Spuul brings all the Bollywood masala right onto your mobile devices. Loaded with Indian cinema blockbuster movies, classics and TV shows, it keeps adding new movies on a weekly basis. You can either log in using your Facebook account or create a new account altogether with Spuul and start watching your favourite movies. This app is currently available only for iOS devices. It serves just like a personal blockbuster theatre with an app that is free to download. You can stream movies and watch them as often as you want. Also, you can choose from hundreds of full length movies in several languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, English and more. The free BIGFlix app is available for iOS and Android devices. Also, the BIGFlix online service lets you order or rent DVDs online by choosing from categories like popular movies, recommendations list and so on. You can order via SMS, online or IVR, and the movie discs will reach your doorsteps within 3 days.
MoviemartRent DVDs, Blu-ray discs
Moviemart is a DVD/Blu-ray/PS3 games rental service with a large collection of movies and PS3 games. If you love watching the latest flicks at your convenience from the comfort of your couch on a big TV screen, then you can simply rent DVDs/Blu-ray discs from Moviemart. It has yearly plans that begin at Rs. 1199 and a refundable security deposit; the payment can be made online. You will receive your DVDs/Bluray discs by mail along with a postage paid return envelope that can be used to return the DVD. On receiving the movie disc, you can keep it for a maximum of 30 days – a fine of Rs. 50 per day is charged after that. If you can’t wait for the 2 or 3 days of shipping time for the DVD or Bluray discs and want to watch movies instantly, then Hungama.com’s Movies Unlimited lets users stream movies for just Rs. 149 per month. You will see a list of Bollywood movies you can download and also a coming soon list featuring movies that will hit the streaming list soon. If you want to view movies in HD, then you will also find HD Movies Unlimited streaming option that costs Rs. 249 per month.
Box Office on your PC
Now, if you don’t want to buy a DVD or Blu-ray disc or subscribe to live or on-demand streaming TV service, then you can watch Indian movies for free via the YouTube Box Office channel. YouTube Movies also has a decent collection and you can watch movies right on your computer screen. YouTube Box Office is a free service in partnership with Intel, so expect some advertisements. While YouTube Movies has a vast collection segregated in separate genres, Youtube also adds movie trivia quiz to keep users hooked to the Box Office.
