While everyone is still considering the implications of Apple’s $3.2 billion purchase of Beats Electronics, there’s no confirmation from either party on the deal. Make that no confirmation in an official capacity, because now there’s a lot more than a report suggesting **the deal is close to happening** . Beats, which is co-founded by hip hop producer Dr Dre, is one of the biggest brands in the audio industry and while reports first emerged about the deal, Dr Dre was apparently in his studio celebrating with Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson.

The actor posted a video on his Facebook page, which has since been taken down. According to The Verge, the caption on the video post read, “How did I end up in the studio with Dr Dre ON THE night his deal went public that he did with Apple 3.2 BILLION!!!!! The BEATS HEADPHONES JUST CHANGED HIP HOP!!!!!!”   The video clearly showed Gibson talking about the $3.2 billion figure says that Dre has now joined the “billionaire boys club.” Dre has fashioned himself as “the first billionaire in hip hop” in the video, and though there’s no official confirmation, it’s pretty clear that the deal is almost done. You can see the video on this link, but be warned that it has more than its share of cuss words.   If the excitement of the two stars is anything to go by, Apple has locked down the deal with Beats and is waiting for final approval before announcing the same. We are likely to hear more about the agreements between the two companies at next month’s WWDC.
