Apple’s yearly event, WWDC 2016 is just around the corner and there are a bunch of rumours doing the rounds of the internet. One of the major products many of these rumours seem to talk about is the Apple OS X 10.12 ‘Fuji’ and give us a hint about what can be expected in terms of the announcement in regard to OS X ‘Fuji’. OS X ‘Fuji’ is slated for public release around September or October 2016 with the beta of the operating system set to be available somewhere around July of the year. Another important aspect of every release of Apple OS X is the name of the next version and historically apple has used places and landmarks in the state of California from Maverics to Yosemite and El Capitan. According to rumours, Apple might call the next version as OS X ‘Fuji’, even though it just might be an internal code name and can be changed upon the release to align with the landmarks in California. An earlier rumour stated that OS X branding was up for a replacement and could be changed and known as macOS like iOS, tvOS and watchOS. MacWorld UK reported that Siri could be coming to Mac after improving her skill set to use and control the entire platform by voice commands. This works in alignment with the fact that Apple may bring automatic unlock of OS X devices with the help of an iPhone, something similar already done with the iOS and watchOS. The Touch ID of the iPhone can then be used indirectly by OS X or macOS. In addition, a major iTunes redesign is being worked upon by Apple where they want to do away with people buying music anymore. We only can wait to see the improvements that are introduced at WWDC after the rumours of new MacBook Pro coming up with an OLED bar at the top of the keyboard.
