Apple it seems is working on the next level of hardware innovation. The Cupertino based hardware giant is looking at television sets and has been testing out several devices according to this report in the Wall Street Journal. (Subscriber content only)
The report states, Apple Inc is working with component suppliers in Asia to test several TV-set designs, people familiar with the situation said.
The report adds Two people said Hon Hai Precision Industry Co which assembles the iPhone and iPad, has been collaborating with Japan’s Sharp Corp on the design of the new television. Hon Hai is better known as Foxconn.

The rumours about Apple’s very own Television setshave long been doing the rounds and the report shouldn’t surprise anyone.
In an recent interview to NBC’s Brian Williams, Apple CEO Tim Cook, had said that as far as television was concerned, It’s a market that we have intense interest in, and it’s a market that we see that has been left behind.
With Google placing its bets on Smart Glasses, Apple it seems is looking to innovate something that has already been in most houses for a long time. For Apple Tv, the bar is going be very high and hopefully Apple will deliver something revolutionary.
