12. 15 am: Siri has a new voice. Also a new interface. And sound wave at the bottom. How cute. But seriously, can it challenge Google Now? That is the major question.

App Store:Will NOW UPDATE APPS AUTOMATICALLY. OMG.
**iTunes Radio is here:**It’s built into the Music app on iOS. It will have a set of featured stations, with the trending songs on Twitter right on top. You can tap on any one of the song and listen to it.
Users can also create their own stations based on what kind of music they like to listen to and then choose to buy the song.iTunes Radio is free with ads, and if you’re an iTunes Match subscriber, it’s completely free. iTunes Radio is also part of your iTunes on Mac.
The service is starting in the US for now and Apple will add other countries later on.
11.55 pm: iOS 7: What’s new:
You can see behind the icons. Every single app has been redesigned. A new Games Centre design.
The weather app has animation. Its actually showing Thunder for the weather conditions. It looks cool and pretty.
The familiar Messages app of iOS 6 and older versions is gone. Blue and Grey bubbles.
Folders now have multiple pages.
Notifications centre at the bottom and is available from the locked screen as well. Yay.
Multi-tasking for all apps in iOS 7: So if you have an app that you’re always using, iOS 7 will make note of that and make sure its updating in the background.
Safari A new full-screen look, smart search field, a new interface for tabs. Integration with iCloud keychain.
Control Centre: Lots of stuff going here. Users can adjust brightness, contrast, sound etc from here.
AirDrop for iOS is here: For apps that support the share sheet, you can just share files, photos with your friends who are on iOS. “No need to wander around the room bumping your phone,” says Craig Federighi taking a dig at NFC beams.
Camera: Has new live photo filters. Kind of like Instagram in the camera itself. A new Photos app which organises pictures into moments based on where and when they were taken.

11.50 pm: iOS 7 is here people
Jony Ive on video: “We’ve always thought of design of being so much more than the way something works. Ultimately, design defines so much of our experience. I think there is a profound and enduring beauty in simplicity.” Why is this man so serious?
So what’s new here? Complete design rehaul.
First off there’s Helvetica, a lot of it. Flat icons, a new slide up control panel, and a new slide to unlock from the bottom of the screen. Animated weather.
This is a serious design overhaul and looks much lighter and less rigid than iOS 6. Apple needed to do this and frankly speaking it looks good. Plus the audience approves. Massive applause.
11.45 pm: iOS time folks
600 million devices with iOS on them. iPhone users use their phone 50 percent more than Android users, says Tim Cook. Cook talking about how much iPad and iPhone users are ahead of Android users when it comes to mobile consumption and paying for apps.
“iOS blows out everyone else in satisfied users,” says Tim Cook. “97 percent overall satisfaction for iOS,” he adds.
Cook talking about how 93 percent Apple users on iOS 6 while 37 percent Android users are still stuck on Gingerbread. Ooh, he’s hit a sore nerve. It’s true, Android updates are rare for users, especially if you have a low-end device.
11.35 pm: Tim Cook is now back on stage. He’s talking about iCloud:
“We now have 300m users of iTunes in the cloud. Fastest growing cloud service ever,” he says. He’s extolling the virtues of iCloud.
And now we’re seeing iWork for iCloud. Sort of like Google Docs. Basically users can access it across Apple devices. Users can edit worksheets, add graphics, images to their documents, etc. It all looks great on the Mac. Users can also open Word documents in the iWork and edit it in the app itself.
All the editing takes place in a web-browser and Apple seems to be super excited about this particular fact. The audience is clapping politely. And yes, it works on Chrome and Internet Explorer on Windows 8.
Beta edition is available for developers today. Will be rolled out for users later in the year.
11.25 pm: Oh no, they didn’t. It’s a Mac Pro desktop.
“Can’t innovate any more my ass,“say Schiller. Taking a dig at the critics here.
It’s a new Intel Xeon Chip, Dual AMD CPUs for Graphics, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 6 Thunderbolt ports. Users can connect three 4k displays to the machine. And what does it look like? Nothing like the old one, it’s tiny.
“It is coming later this year. It is designed in California, and assembled here in the US,” says Schiller.
11.21 pm: Phil Schiller is now out on stage and he’s talking about the new MacBook Air. “We’re really pleased to tell you that we’ve updated an entirely new line of MacBook Airs,” says Schiller.
So what’s new here in the MacBook Air:
All-day battery life: That is big. 11-inch will get 9 hours battery life while 13-inch will get 12 hours.
Intel Haswell processor which provide up to 40 percent faster graphics.
802.11ac Wi-Fi.

11.00 pm: OS X Mavericks: CraigFederighi is now giving a demo of all the new features of Mavericks.
Tagging: Add Tags to documents on your Mac, wherever they are from iCloud to iOS devices. The Finder will search for them. Users can also drag items into a tag window to add the tag. You can choose to add colours to the tags as well. Tags seem to have made many people in the audience very happy.
Multiple Display: Users can get menus across multiple displays. When you pan spaces, you can do it independently of each display screen. You can put different apps in full-screen mode without worrying about the screen space. Users can also drag a full-screen app from one display to another. Kind of geeky but cool.
AirPlay-connected HDTV: Full power display. Users can connect this via AirPlay, view multiple tabs, drag files, apps to the Apple TV and open them there. Pretty cool, the way he does it.
Battery Life and Time Coalescing:: Getting all technical here. Federighi says, “In Mavericks, we intelligently align the work of your computer’s power transitions, which reduces CPU activity up to 72%. It’s pretty awesome.”
Safari: Federighi says Safari is being used on 1.5 billion devices. The browser now has has a new sidebar for bookmarks. You will also get reading lists on the sidebar with lists from Twitter and LinkedIn coming as well. “It uses way less energy than Chrome, and when you compare to Firefox, it’s just sad,” says Federighi.
**iCloud KeyChain:**Safari can auto-suggest the password for you for a particular site. Users can store credit card numbers, passwords to different site on this, it will be encrypted and available across Macs.
**Notifications:**Users can reply to emails, messages, etc from notifications etc. Users can also get push alerts on their Macs. When you open the machine, it will show you the notifications.
**Maps is now coming to OS X Mavericks:**Users can set up the map on their Mac and then send the map to their iPhone.
iBooks is now also a part of the Mac OS X Mavericks.
10.55 pm Tim Cook is back on stage. He’s now talking about the Mac install base is now 72 million, say Tim Cook. The iMac and MacBook are the number one desktop and notebook in the US, he adds.
28 million of Mac users on Mountain Lion, says Tim Cook. Tim Cook also points out that Windows 8 on the other hand is struggling.
Craig Federighi, senior vice president of Software Engineering is on stage. He’s talking about the next version of OS X and how they’re having troubling naming it, since they’ve run out of big cat names.
So what’s the new one called? OS X Mavericks.
10.50 pm: We’re getting a litte robotics/car driving demo. Boris Sofman from Anki shows off how they are using iOS devices to try out video-gaming with cars in real-time.
Anki Drive is available today. “We are a robotics and AI company, and this is only the beginning,” says Boris.
10.45 pm: Tim Cook talking about the App Store, which celebrates its fifth birthday next month.
Tim Cook: The App Store has 50 billion app downloads. 375,000 apps for the iPad alone. 575 million Store accounts for the App Store with and we have more accounts with credit cards than any other online store.
He also stresses that in terms of revenue Apple has been more profitable than any other mobile platform. Apple has paid $10 billion to developers till now, he says.
10. 40 pm: Cook now talking about the Apple Stores. They’re showing the video of a new Apple store that was launched in Berlin. Very Bollywoodish.
10.30 pm: Apple’s presentation all set to begin. There’s an animated film that’s on right now and its in black and white. iOS 7 anyone?
Apple CEO Tim Cook is on stage. He gets a rousing welcome from the crowd. Cook is welcoming attendees and developers to the conference. “2/3 of the people audience today are here for the first time,” he says.
“Over 1000 Apple engineers are here to help developers,” says the Apple chief.
Tim Cook: Apple has 6 million registered developers. The tickets for 2013 conference sold out in 71 seconds.
**10.15 pm:**Ok , so the event will start in 15 minutes. Apple CEO Tim Cook has been spotted in the crowd, so has Apple’s Chief of Design Jonathan Ive, the man believed to be responsible for a complete overhaul of the iOS.
According to the Verge, Apple added 2000 extra seats for this year’s event. It’s definitely a packed hall. Also Grizzly Bear is playing.
Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference kicks off today in San Francisco. Apple is streaming the event live but you’ll only be able to watch it if you have Apple Tv, Safari 4 or later on Mac OS X v10.6 or Safari on an iOS device with version 4.2 and higher. You can check out the live stream here.
We will be live blogging the event. So what are Apple fans expecting at the WWDC conference? Here’s a quick recap:
**iOS 7:**No more skeuomorphic or texture heavy designs. For instance the Notepad app has a notepad icon in iOS 6. In iOS 7, the yellow notepad shape could be gone. According to the rumour buzz, icons will look plain and simple, offering more consistency from app to app. The new design is likely to favor black and white elements rather than splashes of colour.

**MacBooks:**A revamped MacBook Air and Pro series is likely to be showcased at WWDC. The MacBook Air series is likely to see upgrades with faster processors and WiFi. A report in DigitalTrends, states that the new Apple lineup will come with Intel Haswell chips.
The report adds,these so-called Haswell chips promise a 10 percent boost in computer processing speeds and 50 percent improvement over the current integrated graphics chip Intel HD Graphics 4000.
‘**iRadio’:**Apple’s rumoured music streaming service which has been dubbed as iRadio by the tech industry is also likely to be launched at the conference. According to reports , Apple has already signed deals with Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group for music licenses as it gets ready to launch the music streaming service which will rival Pandora, Google’s music streaming service. It seems Sony Music has also signed a deal with Apple.
