Apple Worldwide Developer Conference to be held from June 8th to 12th

Apple’s annual WorldWide Developers Conference or WWDC will be held in San Francisco from June 8th to 12th. This annual conference is where Apple showcases its latest software and new technologies for developers. We can expect the next big updates to the iOS software as well as OS X. According to the Apple’s official WWDC page, there will be more than 100 technical sessions and over 1000 Apple engineers on location to speak to devs. The WWDC event will be streaming some sessions live. Since this is an invite only event, interested developers need to register by Friday, April 17. Apple will select participants randomly and selected devs will be informed by April 20. If selected, the devs will need to purchase a $1599 ticket to attend the event. Apple has also partnered with institutions to award scholarships. It states, “WWDC Scholarships are available to students and members of participating STEM organizations around the world.” According to Buzzfeed, the Cupertino Company will showcase its revamped Apple TV at the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC). Along with a design change, the Apple TV box is expected to come with the company’s latest A8 system-on-chip or something similar, more on-board storage and an improved operating system that could support voice assistant Siri. Apple has also seeded the first iOS 8.4 beta to developers which features Apple’s upcoming revamped Music app. This seed is available on Apple’s Developer Center website. A report by  9to5mac shares the release notes from Apple for its all-new music app. Firstly, the biggest change will include an all new design UI. Users can add their own image and description to their personalised playlists. Also, they can start playing an album right from the album list. Albums and playlists which have been recently added will be displayed on top of the library. The new app will also bring in a smoother-working iTunes Radio. Users can return to their favorite stations as they wish by going to Recently Played. They can also choose from a selection of hand-curated stations in Featured Stations, or start a new one from their favorite artist or song.
