As expected , it’s been reported that nothing of significance has been found on San Bernadino shooter, Syed Farook’s iPhone till now, reports CBS News . The FBI raised quite a hue and cry over unlocking the device, insisting that there was “critical” information on it and going so far as to try and compel Apple into create a backdoor in iOS. Apple held its ground, the FBI found a way to hack into the iPhone without Apple’s help and the FBI backed down. After weeks of time spent analysing the data on the phone, it’s been reported that the FBI found absolutely nothing of value so far. Analysts and experts had suggested that there would be nothing of significance on the iPhone and it’s possible that even the FBI was aware of that long before they decided to pursue the case against Apple. Many argue that the case went forward with the sole aim of setting a precedent to ease the FBI’s access to any device or platform of their choosing. CBS News adds that the FBI are still analysing all the data on the device and that the investigation is ongoing. So far, the FBI has refused to comment on the report.
