When it comes to Apple devices, we’ve seen that ’s’ year of the iPhone doesn’t see any major design changes, and are a mere upgrade of the previous year. This means, the alleged iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus should come with a major design overhaul. But, this time, Apple may go against the grain. If a WSJ report is to be believed than the futuristic design change has been reserved for next year, instead. Well, its iPhone’s 10th anniversary next year. Now, that explains a lot. However, the report adds that the technology that the company plans to implement will also take time. The report claims that Jony Ive has been hoping for an iPhone that looks like a single sheet of glass and the ideas for 2017 iPhones seem to be something on those lines. The most recent iPhone didn’t create a buzz like iPhone 6 models. So, if the company manages to deliver “great innovation”, the next set of devices could start the cash registers ticking. This also means, do not expect any major design changes this year, and going by the rumours, we can expect the devices with slimmer form factor and sans the 3.5mm jack. Well, there are contradicting reports on the audio jack too. This year the devices will simply be an upgrade to the 6s. But the following year, we can expect a major overhaul, a bigger design change than we can expect, further adds the report. It is also believed that Apple is bringing an all new colour to the iPhone and will skip Space Grey for a Deep Blue version . Leaks also point out 256GB storage version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and a dual camera lens setup. Well, all should be confirmed by September, when the new iPhones are finally unveiled.
