Apple has started to tease the video for the upcoming Mac Pro in movie theatres across the US. The workstation, according to the trailer, is set to hit markets in fall this year.

The video aired in theatres across the country shows off the device’s curves and highlights the redesign of the product from multiple angles. The device, first announced at WWDC this year, was first set to be slated for a “later this year” release, but it looks like the device will be released earlier than expected, says Macrumours. Now, it is not clear whether the Mac Pro will launch alongside the new iPhone at the rumoured September 10 event or with the refreshed iPad that is rumoured to be released in a month or so.

The refreshed Mac Pro that is slated to be assembled in the US has been redesigned completely. Many times smaller than its predecessors, the new Mac Pro will be cylindrical in shape and will be 2.5 times faster than the current version of the workstation. It will feature the 12 core Xeon processor E5 from Intel and will be the first to come with dual workstation GPUs – AMD FirePro GPUs for the graphics and PCI Express-based flash storage.

While complete details of the specifications or the price are not yet released, the workstation is slated to cost anything north of $2,800 (Rs 1,72,620 approx.), according to PC Mag. The current version of the quad-core Apple Mac Pro costs about $2,499 (Rs 1,54,063 approx.) while the 12-core version costs $3,799 (Rs 2,34,208).
