Apple has finally released iOS 9.1 to the public as an OTA update which brings in features such as new emojis along with live photos and several bug fixes and improvements for iPhone and iPad users.
A report by Emojipedia stated, “Apple has released the iOS 9.1 update for iPhone and iPad, which includes 184 new emojis. This makes iOS the first operating system to include every single emoji in the Unicode Standard.” In addition, a report by Mac Rumours stated that Apple has also released Xcode 7.1 and the tvOS golden master (GM), which represents the final version of the software that will be available when the new Apple TV launches.
The new iOS 9.1 includes support or Unicode 7 and 8 along with a wide range of emojis in Smileys and People, Animals, Weather, Food and Drink, Sport, Places, Faith, Travel Objects, Symbols and Flags.
Also, iOS 9.1 also brings in an update for Live Photos which can now sense when the iPhone has been picked up ’to refrain from recording unnecessary movements’ points out the report. The update also introduces a new Messages option in Settings that allows users to disable photos for contacts. Lastly, iOS 9.1 also includes bug fixes for many issues that iPhone users have been experiencing and has also introduced important security fixes.
