Apple Music users have an iCloud Music Library problem: Here's how to fix it

Within a few days of Apple Music’s release, the latest music streaming service might already have a few flaws. It is being reported that after turning on the iCloud Music Library, an option present in both iOS 8.4 and iTunes 12.2 which is required for advanced Apple Music features, some users have said that turning the option on is deleting local playlists and also causes the songs in them to disappear. According to a report by Apple Insider, other problems include iCloud substituting bad metadata and artwork, creating duplicates, or restoring music that was previously deleted from iTunes Match. In worse case scenarios, album titles are not linked to the right songs and artwork is completely wrong as well. This turns out to be quite frustrating for iTunes users who have worked on building up their playlists in their libraries for all these years. Another problem with iCloud Music Library was spotted by Mac and music blogger Kirk McElhearn who stated that if it matches an uploaded file with one on Apple’s servers, then trying to download the file again will offer a copy-protected version instead of the one which was uploaded originally. A report by Lifehacker offers a solution to fix this problem. According to the report, this problem may persist among people who have enabled  iTunes Match in the past. 1. Close iTunes 2. Head to your iTunes music folder (usually username > Music > iTunes) 3. Drag the iTunes Library.itl file from this folder to your desktop 4. Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder 5. Find the most recent iTunes Library[DATE].itl file. Drag it into the Music > iTunes folder 6. Rename the file iTunes Library.itl 7. Reopen iTunes
