Currently, Apple relies on other manufacturers for their display such as Samsung, Sharp and others. But now, it looks like the company is working on developing its own display technology which will offer thinner and brighter screens. According to Bloomberg, Apple has created a secret production lab in Taiwan where they are said to be working on developing LCD, OLED technologies for devices. The building is supposed to have at least 50 engineers and other workers, who are reportedly recruited from AU Optronics and Qualcomm, creating new screens for devices including iPhones and iPads, people close to the matter have said. The much-talked about 4-inch iPhone 6c , earlier rumoured to launch this year, is now expected to arrive in March. Maybe Apple could enforce this technology in their new devices. Specs-wise, it is said to be somewhere between iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s, adds the report. Analysts predict that the device will be a mix of iPhone 5s, 5c and 6s. The report also added that Apple does the bulk of its research at its headquarters in Cupertino and outsources the manufacturing of almost all devices and components to suppliers such as Foxconn Technology Group and Japan Display respectively.
