Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar now available in India starting at Rs 1,55,900

After the official announcement of the new MacBook Pro in October, an Apple reseller in India has reported that the first stocks of the MacBook Pro have finally begun to trickle in. First reported by Gadgets360, an Apple Reseller in Kerala, going by the name of IT Net Infocomm tweeted out last evening that the new MacBook with the Touch Bar feature is now in stock and price starts at Rs 1,55,900. https://twitter.com/itnetinfocom/status/803178854298845184 And that would be for the 13-inch model with Touch Bar. Too small? Be prepared to shell out Rs 2,05,900 for the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. While India (and the rest of the globe) seem deprived of the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar since launch, it now appears that the stocks have just started to reach major retailers. The same reseller also pointed out that stocks are limited so you may want to take a look at the tweet in case you want to get one booked immediately. Now that the new MacBook has begun reaching resellers, it will only be a short while until Apple announces the availability of the refreshed MacBook Pro officially. ![Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Touch Bar](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-2016-Touch-Bar.jpg) Apple went with a complete redesign to make its new MacBook Pro lighter, thinner and more powerful than the previous ones. The new MacBook Pro will be available in three flavours, a 13-inch new MacBook Pro with traditional function keys, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with the new Touch Bar and the bigger and more powerful 15-inch model. The Touch Bar also features an integrated Touch ID sensor. ![Apple MacBook Pro 2016 range](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-2016-range.jpg) The 13-inch Touch Bar base model features a 13.3-inch LED backlit IPS display with 2560x1600 native resolution and supports the wide colour gamut (P3). You can start with a 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (Skylake) with Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz and 4MB shared L3 cache. There’s a 256GB onboard SSD, 8GB RAM and Intel Iris Graphics 550 support. You get 4 Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and 720p FaceTime camera which sits above the display. There are 3 microphones (instead of two) and you also get the 3.5mm headphone jack. A built-in 49.2-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery completes the package. ![Apple MacBook Pro 2016 side](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Apple-MacBook-Pro-2016-side.jpg) Moving to the base model of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, you get a 15.4-inch LED backlit IPS display with 2880x1800 native resolution that supports the wide colour gamut (P3). The base version features a 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 (Skylake), Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz, with 6MB shared L3 cache. There’s a 256GB PCIe-based onboard SSD coupled with 16GB of RAM. You also get a discreet Radeon Pro 450 with 2GB memory and an Intel HD Graphics 530 (automatic switching). You get 4 Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and 720p FaceTime camera which sits above the display. Similar to the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, you get three microphones. A built-in 76.0-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery powers the 15-inch laptop. As many have pointed out, the SSDs inside the new MacBook Pro are soldered on to the board and cannot be upgraded. So choose your weapons wisely!
