Apple iPhone 7: Here's how you knock off up to Rs 10,000 from its official retail price

The Apple iPhone 7 will be officially available in India starting 7PM today. The much-awaited phones will be available across various channels, online and offline. As with all previous devices that Apple has launched in India, the bone of contention has always been the price. For whatever reason (taxes and otherwise), iPhones have been 30-40 percent more expensive in India than in the US and other countries. ![Apple iPhone 7 price Tech2 720](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Apple-iPhone-7-price-Tech2-720.jpg)       Assuming you don’t have an indulgent aunt/uncle/suitable relative popping over with a shiny new iPhone for you, here’s how you can grab an additional discount on the full retail price of the device. Paytm will be offering the iPhone 7/7Plus on launch day, 7 October, at 7PM. Customers buying the phone on Paytm will also be eligible up to a Rs 7,000 cash back by merchants who are registered on the Paytm marketplace. The pre-order has already began on Paytm. According to Paytm, deliveries of the iPhone 7/7Plus will start in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Bengaluru on 7 October and in other major cities from 8 October onwards. The iPhone 7/7 Plus will also be available on Tata CLiQ on 7 October from 7PM onwards - just like Paytm. The pre-orders for these devices will be taken from 4 Oct to 7 Oct 11AM. Users buying the iPhones on Tata CLiQ and having an HDFC debit or credit cards will get a flat Rs 10,000 deferred cashback. This offer is valid from 5 - 14 October or until stocks last. Snapdeal has partnered with American Express to offer an exclusive cashback of Rs 10,000 on the purchase of the iPhone 7. Axis bank has also partnered with Snapdeal to offer up to 10 percent off on all items on their store. The maximum discount is Rs 5,000, which means you’ll be able to knock at least that much off an iPhone 7. A similar offer is available via Citibank and their Citi Credit cards on IndiaStore on their online and offline stores. You can also knock a significant chunk off the price of the iPhone 7 by purchasing it on eBay. eBay routinely sends out 7 percent to 10 percent off coupons and coupled with cash-back offers from various banks (ICICI, HDFC, Kotak, Citibank, etc.), you will be able to knock off about Rs 5,000 - Rs 7,000 from the price of a new iPhone 7. If you’re not interested in warranty, some sellers on eBay will even sell you an iPhone 7 sans warranty for a reduced figure. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be available in the silver, gold and rose gold variants in the 32GB, 128GB and 256GB variants whereas the Jet Black variant will be available only in 128GB and 256GB variants. The 32GB, 128GB and 256GB variants of the iPhone 7 are priced at Rs 60,000, Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000, respectively. The bigger iPhone 7 Plus models are priced at Rs 72,000 for 32GB, Rs 82,000 for 128GB and Rs 92,000 for 256GB. Prices for the Jet Black variants haven’t been displayed on either Paytm or Tata CLiQ.
