Apple Empties its Stores in Riot-hit UK

Riots are continuing in England as disgruntled youth loot and damage thousands of local businesses, both big and small. While some locals are protecting property against the rebellers, other business owners are preparing their stores to have as little loss as possible. This includes Apple Stores around the country. Two pictures have revealed that both, Apple Stores, as well as Apple retailers have emptied out their in-store inventory to prevent theft and more losses.

Here’s to hoping more businesses of all sizes, have the time to put away their inventories and lock up their stores to prevent too much damage by looting and riots. The situation is already slightly under control by local authorities, with arrests being made and courts staying open late to deal with arrests, however, there are still reports of looting, as the rebellion went into day 5 last night.

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!). She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo. see more
