Apple confirms the 'crackling noise problem' in iPhone 8; issue occurs during calls or Facetime

Apple has confirmed that its newly released **iPhone 8** does indeed have a problem of a crackling noise which comes through its earpiece speaker during calls. The complaints header, “iPhone 8: crackling static noise during calls,” describes the problem thus: “It’s intermittent — on some calls you can perfectly notice it on others no problem. I have already tried resetting the phone with no success on solving the problem. I’m dealing with the issue since Friday. Very disappointed!” The issue is even being discussed by some users on Reddit, who have also complained about the problem while making calls. Some Reddit users have complained that the problem is not persistent. The problem occurs when one is making calls or during Facetime. The problem does not crop up when the phone is attached to an earpiece with mic or when the phone is in the loudspeaker mode. According to a report on Business Insider, Apple has acknowledged the issue. It said, “We are aware of the issue which is affecting customers in a small number of cases. Our team is at work on a fix, which will be included in an upcoming software release.” It has also assured that the problem shall be fixed soon. According to a Verge report, an Apple spokesperson has assured that the problem would be fixed in the upcoming software release. This is not the first **glitch** that has happened. Previously, the glitch had happened during the launch of the Apple Watch series 3.0, where the watch wasn’t able to make a cellular connection. **Meanwhile** , the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are set to be launched in India on 29 September at 6 pm. The launch will take place in nine cities which including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Apple iPhone 8 64 GB costs Rs 64,000 while the 256 GB variant  **will be available**  for Rs 77,000. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus starts at Rs 73,000 for 64 GB variant and Rs 86,000 for the 256 GB variant.
