This week brings some exciting news for Flappy Bird fans as its creator Dong Nyugen has announced a new game for Android and iOS. Besides, we’ve also seen some nifty updates come to Google Photo Sphere, Yahoo Mail and some other popular apps. For those who’ve missed on their daily dose of apps, here’s a quick recap. Swing Copters The big news in the apps world is Flappy Bird creator’s new game Swing Copters hitting store shelves. The reason Flappy Bird became crazy popular is the need to constantly replay the game to better your score. It helped that the game was frustratingly difficult, requiring complete concentration if you wanted to do well. Swing Copters is similar, as we learnt earlier this week, but the player moves vertically up. The difficulty level in Swing Copters is amped up by several notches. Thanks to hammers swinging under each opening, getting a point is that much harder. The game is free on Android with unremovable ads, but on iOS ads can be removed for $1.29 (which is a lot to remove a few ads, if you ask us). Google Photo Sphere Apple iPhone users can now shoot Google’s much-praised
Photo Sphere
images natively as the Internet giant has launched a dedicated app for iPhone and iPad devices. The standalone Photo Sphere Camera app for iOS works on most recent iPhones with the exception of the iPhone 4. With the new app, iOS users can use the phone’s camera to natively take a 360-degree panoramic image around a central axis. Once initiated the app will guide users and help them align shots thanks to an ever present dot on the screen. When the frame aligns, the camera will automatically take a picture, allowing users to progress seamlessly. It is now available for download on the

As you open the new Yahoo Mail app, you will first notice the Mail inbox, alongside a new panel with icons for Mail, News and Today on the screen. This is where all your news, information, and communications come together in one integrated experience. The all new Yahoo Mail app can be downloaded from

. Google Voice Search Google has updated its Voice Search functionality by adding support for multiple languages at once in voice search. Now, you don’t need to tweak the settings each time you have to change a language. You can speak in five languages with the limit of one language per sentence. The update is directly available to download from the
Google Play store
. Pebble for Android Pebble for Android has been updated to allow users to read WhatsApp messages directly on the wristwatch. This comes as a relief for Pebble users who are heavily addicted to WhatsApp or use it as the primary messaging app.
