Alcatel brings its newest smartphone dubbed One Touch Idol X+ to the Indian market. Priced at Rs 16,999, the in-box contents include Boomband and JBL headphones. Just like Motorola’s Moto series, the One Touch Idol X+ will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting June 3. Alcatel had unveiled the device at the **CES** . It is already available in China. The smartphone sports a 5-inch display with 1080x1920 pixels of resolution, and pixel density up to 441ppi. The display also gets a layer of Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The dual SIM handset is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset with ARM Mali450 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Along with 16GB of built-in storage, it comes equipped with a 13.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. All of this is fuelled by a 2500mAh battery that promises up to 27 hours of talk time and 650 hours of standby time on 2G. The connectivity options include support for 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and stereo FM radio. The accompanying BoomBand accessory is Bluetooth-enabled wearable for fitness enthusiasts which tracks all your workouts and exercise activity. It also acts as an alarm in case you leave the phone behind.
