Android tweet sparks Nexus 6 rumours

While recent reports have been suggesting Google plans to ditch the Nexus lineup, a new tweet that came from Android's official Twitter have reignited the nexus 6 rumours. The tweet shows a device, which is rumoured to be the nexus 6, reports Cnet.

Take a look at the tweet below.

The tweet was intended to show off the new ingredients feature in Google Search, using an all new device, which is now highly speculated to be the Google Nexus 6.

"This is not the first time we've seen Google use a previously unseen device for promoting its apps or services. The first few days after Google introduced the Nexus 5 saw plenty of excitement over what appeared to be a new 7-inch or 8-inch tablet. But, as quickly as everyone began thinking "Nexus 8," Google poured cold water on the situation and retouched the photo," adds the report.

The official Google I/O website also shows an unannounced, unbranded tablet on the landing page. Is it the Nexus 8?

We have heard several times earlier that Google is all set to ditch the Nexus line of devices, that have proved such a huge hit in the last couple of years. Evleaks – with a track record of providing accurate information about yet-to-be-announced smartphones – reveals that Google will not be releasing a Nexus 6 this year. The prolific tipster tells users not to worry as there’s a ‘silver’ lining to this cloud, clearly hinting at Android Silver.
