According to a report on Nashville Chatter, Samsung is going to remedy the Marshmallow update situation by pushing out an early update of Android N for its devices.
The Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are all reported to get the Android N update as soon as it releases sometime in mid 2016. Users of Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ back at home in South Korea will be getting the Android Marshmallow update, followed by rollout across the globe.
The first phone to ship with Android N pre-installed will be the Galaxy Note 6, according to Digital Trends. Google surprised developers with an early release of N, which makes it possible for Samsung to release the Note 6 with Android N.
Android N Developer preview is available on a number of devices. The update brings performance optimizations, improvement in accessibility options and changes to Android for Work apps. More details on the developer preview of Android N is available at Android Authority. The preview is available for Nexus Player, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G. Enrolling for the Android Beta Program allows for users to download the preview versions as OTA updates.
