Android 4.2.2 update for HTC Butterfly hits India

HTC Butterfly, launched in December last year, has received the Android 4.2.2 treatment. HTC began rolling out the update in July for some regions, and it has reached Indian shores now. HTC India has used its social platform to announce the update. Read the complete review of the HTC Butterfly here.

The company tweeted, “Upgrade to the BlinkFeed on your HTC Butterfly! Android 4.2.2 is out now.” The tweet further states that the Android 4.2.2 update will be coming to its other handsets too. However, the company hasn’t mentioned which models will be getting the update. The update is being made available Over-the-Air (OTA).

The update will add HTC’s Sense 5 layer along with BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed transforms the phone’s homescreen into a dynamic list of titles and social network updates. The new update will add enhancements such as a new gallery app, automatic video highlights, supposedly improved battery life and new camera apps.
