Android 2.3.5 leaked for Samsung’s Galaxy S, proceed with caution

Good news for all Galaxy S owners, Samsung’s official Gingerbread 2.3.5 ROM has been leaked on the Internet. Why is this good news? Well, because we can expect the final build to be officially released very soon. The new ROM is called I9000XXJVS and can be downloaded from here. Make sure you proceed with caution because it will void your warranty and could possibly brick your phone, so if you’re unsure, it’s wise to wait for Samsung to officially release it.

People who have updated to the firmware report that there is a slight improvement in speed but nothing else has changed much since 2.3.4. Some users have noticed a slight issue with the Wi-Fi which keeps dropping bars every two minutes. There’s no harm in trying out the ROM since you can always roll back to the current one. That’s the good thing about the Galaxy S, it’s not easily brickable so even if something does not wrong, simply put it in download mode and you’re on your way.
