Intel Security has announced the appointment of Anand Ramamoorthy as the new managing director for Intel Security in India and SAARC. Ramamoorthy will handle key responsibilities that include driving enterprise-centric produce revenues, strengthening the consumer base and positioning India for rapid non-linear growth. He holds a diverse experience of 18 years in the industry with roles both in India and USA. His portfolio conveys his ability to manage both large scale businesses as well as small businesses with growth-oriented strategy.
Ramamoorthy is taking over the post from his predecessor Jagdish Mahapatra, who in turn has been given the responsibilities to lead the Channels and Alliances business in the Asia-Pacific region. Anand was working as the Director of Sales and Marketing, South Asia before being appointed as managing director at Intel Security.
Anand was working as managing director at Harman, a leading consumer electronics company before making the move to Intel. He has spent most of his career in the USA while playing key roles at several large multinational corporations as senior leadership.
This announcement comes right after Intel announced projects reiterating its focus on the internet of things, machine learning, and virtual reality during Intel Developers Conference in San Francisco this week. The company unveiled Intel Project Alloy — an all-in-one VR solution that features the computer and sensors integrated directly into the headset and leverages “Intel RealSense” technology.
