 "AMD's Trinity to hit markets early")
AMD has had quite a few launches and a decent amount of success with their products this year. Their Bulldozer architecture processor servers, called Interlagos launched earlier this month. AMD had showed off their new AMD Trinity APU on notebooks and the product was expected to launch sometime in 2012. According to Hot Hardware , leaked slides show that the APU might launch as early as January next year, just a couple of months from now. AMD’s Trinity is said to have roughly 50 percent improved performance than the Llanos APUs; all thanks to an upgraded graphics solution. The 35W dual core processor, and two 45W quad-core processors should be ready by January.

It’s not all great news for AMD. They had lowered its forecast for the third quarter for 2011, and had blamed the yield of the 32nm Llanos to be the primary reason for performance. Similar problems existed with the fabrication of 45nm chips, because of common hardware used in the process. The AMD’s Bulldozer processors have been delayed by quite a bit and the desktop processors, Zambezi are yet to arrive. The early launch of the Trinity APUs should boost revenues for AMD in the first quarter of 2012.
