Amazon Prime Video will exclusively stream Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' and Vijay's 'Theri'

Amazon has announced a long-term agreement with Tamil Nadu-based production company V Creations. According to the agreement, Amazon Prime Video will exclusively stream Tamil film industry’s two highest grossing movies, Kabali and Theri. The company has teamed up with Kalaipuli S Thanu, the producer and owner of V Creations to increase the digital reach of the movies. According to the company, both movies have earned over Rs 500 crores in combined box office collection. “Kalaipuli S Thanu is one of the most successful producers in the Tamil film industry, and we are thrilled to partner with him. Southern cinema and star-driven Tamil films have emerged as among the most successful Indian content in the last decade, finding both national reach and viewers. A large number of Thanu’s films have been commercial blockbusters, of which two are among the top-ten highest grossing Tamil films of all time. We are certain that our Prime members will love the inclusion of these smashing titles in our selection within a few weeks from their theatrical release,” added Nitesh Kripalani, Director and Country Head, Prime Video India.
