It is getting easier to save your media into cloud, but that’s not the same case when it comes to the heaps of books that may be lying at your home. Now, Amazon has released a new tool called Kindle Convert that saves your books library and other documents as e-books. The tool converts your personal printed books and documents to Kindle eBooks. Basically, if you have scanned copies of your books or documents, the app will convert these into professional quality Kindle e-books. These scanned copies are then accessible on all Kindle devices and also on the free Kindle reading apps available for iPad, iPhone, Android smartphones and Android tablets. The Kindle Convert is available for download (36MB) at Amazon.com and is compatible with PCs running Windows 7 or Windows 8. The listed price if $49, but it is now available at an introductory price of $19.00. Currently, the tool is limited to users only in the US. Amazon says the software gives users step-by-step directions on how to turn scans into Kindle books. Kindle Convert will work with any scanner that is capable of producing .jpeg, .tiff or .pdf file with 300-600 DPI, and 24-bit depth for color, 8-bit for grayscale or black and white. This means, it can work with almost modern printers.
