You don’t have to be an audiophile to know about Altec Lansing. The famous speaker manufacturers have brought a 2.1 speaker system to India called, the VS2721. Like most 2.1 systems, the VS2721 E is aimed at users looking for sound systems that don’t occupy too much space but at the same time churns out good sound.

From the looks of it, these speakers seem to be quite elegant for a living room and by what Altec Lansing claims, are meant for desktop systems, gaming consoles and can also be used with notebooks and other small MP3 players as well. The VS2721 E features 3-inch high frequency drivers on the satellites and a 4-inch side firing Subwoofer. Also, users can control the volume, tone and mute functions from the wired controller. Built into this controller are two jacks, one being a headphone jack and the other being a secondary jack for the iPod and other portable media players.

According to Stella Chan, VP (Sales & Marketing) APAC, Altec Lansing, these speakers were apparently meant only for the European market, but will now also make an appearance in India. Check out the tech specs below:

  • One 3” (75 mm) mid/high frequency driver per speaker
  • One 4” (100 mm) side-firing subwoofer
  • Sound Pressure Level (SPL): 93 dB
  • Total Continuous Power: 28 Watts RMS
  • System Response: 45 Hz – 18 kHz (-10 dB)
  • Satellite Dimensions: 3.9” (W) × 4” (D) × 8” (H)
  • Subwoofer Dimensions: 10.3” (W) × 5.2” (D) × 8.9” (H)
