Alcatel PIXI 4 with 4G connectivity and Polaroid camera filters launched at Rs 4,999

Priced at Rs 4,999 it is available exclusively on Flipkart. The PIXI 4 is said to be a big brother of the PIXI 3 and offers exclusive Polaroid filters along with enhanced music experience courtesy Arkamys.

Alcatel PIXI 4 with 4G connectivity and Polaroid camera filters launched at Rs 4,999

Alcatel has been around the Indian market for sometime now although we hadn’t heard from the company for a while. It has announced the PIXI 4 smartphone in India which is a budget offering with 4G support. Priced at Rs 4,999 it is available exclusively on Flipkart. The PIXI 4 is said to be a big brother of the PIXI 3 and offers exclusive Polaroid filters along with enhanced music experience courtesy Arkamys. The specifications of the handset include a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) TFT-TN display, a MediaTek MTK6735M quad-core 1 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage (3.6GB available) which is expandable to up to 32GB. The rear camera has a 5MP resolution while the front offer 2MP resolution. Both the cameras are aided by LED flash units on the front and on the back. There is a 2,000mAH battery while connectivity options include LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB. It also features two SIM card slots. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India said, “We are excited to announce the launch of our Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) for our Indian users. Being the third largest home to smartphone users, India is a critical market for us and we intend to bring cutting edge products to consumers here, who seek power packed design sensibilities of a high-end smartphone at competitive prices.” He also said, “The PIXI 4 is designed for the youth/millennial who want a trendy phone loaded with future proof features and yet not being heavy on the pocket. The PIXI 4 promises the perfect balance of speed, performance and ergonomics. And all of this comes with great features like Arkamys-optimized speakers and Polaroid filters.” Speaking on the tie up with Alcatel, Ajay Yadav, VP – Mobiles, Flipkart, said, “This partnership reinforces and consolidates Flipkart dominance in the online mobile segment. The launch of Alcatel PIXI4 (5) exclusively on Flipkart signifies the brands trust on the platform that enjoys leadership position in the online smartphones market. Sensing that this model will be one of the significant launches from the stable of Alcatel, we expect huge demand for this product. “In addition to bringing the best devices to market, Flipkart has always endeavoured to create the best consumer experience with industry firsts like seamless product exchange offers which make shopping for mobiles on Flipkart a genuine delight.”, added Ajay Yadav, VP – Mobiles at Flipkart. Alcatel also recently became one of the many smartphone brands that is offering the Jio preview offer.
