Airtel launches 4G/3G data 'Mega Saver Pack'

Airtel has announced two new data plans that offer greater value than any other plan that the existing data plans provided by the company. The new plans named as ‘Mega Saver Pack’ will be available for users all across the country on prepaid connections. The data plans will have two denominations where according to the first plan worth Rs1498, the users get 1GB 4G/3G data free every month for 12 months. Beyond the exhaustion of the 1 GB, each additional GB will be for Rs 51. The second plan worth Rs 748 offers free 1GB data every month for six months and after the exhaustion of 1GB, each additional GB will be worth Rs 99 for six months.To calculate and put this in perspective for a user who uses 5GB of data per month, the total monthly cost will boil down to Rs 328 for Rs 1498 plan. Whereas, the users with the same data the cost under the Rs 748 will come down to Rs 718. Even though the Rs 748 plan does not provide any additional savings because the current prepaid plans give 5GB data at Rs 698, but Rs 1498 plan cuts down the cost by almost half. “At Airtel, we are constantly innovating to provide superior experience and great value to our customers. With these innovative packs, we are redefining the value proposition on our data packs and allowing our customers get a lot more within the same budget,” added Ajai Puri, handling Operations for India and South Asia added.
