A-DATA is best known for its storage and memory solutions. A-DATA has announced a new line of power supplies for desktop computers. The line is called the BN Series that have been certified as 80 PLUS (Bronze). The power supplies are available in four capacities – 400, 450, 500 and 550W.

A-DATA brings style to power supplies
The power supplies are EuP and Energy Star 5.0 complaint. The power supply includes an active PFC. There are other features as well such as over voltage, under voltage protection as well as temperature monitoring. The power supply includes dual +12V rails which should hopefully bring stability and reliability to the system while overclocking. Power supplies are generally pretty dull to look at since they are usually hidden inside the chassis. A-DATA has gone with a somewhat stylish design with its power supplies. There is laminated steel on the outsides of the PSU that makes it stand out. The BN series power supplies weigh around 2.61 kg. There is no official pricing on the power supply yet.
Our resident Hardware Ninja, Rossi, lives for speed - by uhh riding his bicycle. He's Tech2's utility man, dividing his time between cameras, software and intense bouts of Quake III. He's also a fan of all things obscure, case in point, Live for Speed (sic). Never heard of it? We rest our case. In his spare time he tries to teach our new joinees the tricks of the trade even though the blood sweat and tears, but give him a camera and all things forgotten.
