ABBYY is a business card reader application for iPhones. Using the app, iPhone users can directly capture information from business cards like addresses and phone numbers and place it in their phone’s address book. You can also use the app to find information from your friends on Facebook, Twitter and even on a map. The app is available for $4.99 (Rs. 224 approx) from the iOS App Store.

Reads and stores business cards

ABBYY Business Card Reader determines the type of contact data (first name, last name, phone number, address, etc.) and transfers this data into corresponding fields of the address book. An archive that allows you to search and sort business cards by first name, last name, company, address, job title, email address and date of addition. Card holder performs instant searches in LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, and performs address searches in Maps. Captured data can be merged with an existing contact and unreliably captured characters are highlighted. The app has language support for capturing 20 languages including German.
