5 Reasons the Tomb Raider Reboot will Kick-Ass

Hollywood and video games have shown us that more often than not, reboots are successful. No matter how much you love an icon or an iconic franchise, he, she or it need to be resurrected from scratch to re-invent themselves for familiar as well new audiences. Crystal Dynamics decided it was high time Lara Croft received this treatment and as disclosed by Game Informer , everyone’s favorite archaeologist is back in a very different and not to mention interesting avatar. Since it’s illegal to post scans on the site we’ve combed through the ones floating around the net and are fairly confident that this reboot is capable of kicking a serious amount of ass. And here are five reasons why.

1) Like Lost – only better
Ok so it doesn’t exactly sound like Lost but there are certain undeniable similarities. You have an unknown island somewhere in Japan that houses tons of secrets and not to mention hostile locales. In the middle of all of that you have the beautiful Lara Croft and her unlucky group of survivors hunted by what you could call the “others”. At this point we’re not entirely sure if the others are even civilized or human but either way it’s a neat spin to the series where Lara for once is the one constantly being hunted.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
